The College of Computer Studies (CCS) of Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) is a CHED-recognized Center of Excellence in Information Technology Education, committed to delivering quality instruction, innovative research, and meaningful community engagement. In support of the Institute’s mandate for public service, CCS actively implements extension initiatives that translate its technical expertise into programs that benefit various sectors of society. Among its flagship projects are my.CyberSafe, which advances cybersecurity awareness and responsible digital citizenship; Tech Behind Bars, a digital reformation and ICT literacy program for Persons Deprived of Liberty in partnership with BJMP; my.ICT, which provides foundational ICT and digital skills training to underserved youth and communities; and my.ComApps, a hands-on workshop series focusing on embedded systems and IoT applications for students, teachers, and partner institutions. The College also strengthens ICT education research through its ReCITE program, which builds research capabilities among educators in partner schools. Through these initiatives, CCS continues to champion inclusive digital transformation and uphold MSU-IIT’s commitment to responsive and socially relevant extension services.
