The My.RECITEs (Research Capacity Building for IT Educators and Students) project is an extension initiative of the College of Computer Studies (CCS) designed to strengthen research competence among Information Technology students and educators. It provides a structured platform for developing research-oriented mindsets, enhancing technical writing skills, and fostering innovative, socially responsive project ideas. The project’s learning sessions feature expert contributions from CCS faculty members, covering a diverse range of topics such as the responsible use of generative AI in academic writing, spotting research opportunities in information systems, fundamentals of embedded systems and IoT, conducting impactful IT research, and effective problem framing for pitching. These sessions aim to guide participants in shaping relevant thesis ideas and project proposals rooted in real-world needs.
