The College of Computer Studies (CCS) proudly celebrates its recognition as Top 3 Performing College during the 2025 Stakeholders Networking Summit, organized by the WE CARE Office of MSU-IIT. This university-wide gathering honored the most active colleges and partners advancing extension initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As part of this yearโs awarding ceremony, CCS received Php 20,000.00 a testament to the collegeโs sustained excellence in designing and delivering impactful, technology-driven programs that benefit various communities within and beyond Iligan City. This accomplishment highlights CCSโs continued leadership in promoting digital empowerment, responsible technology use, and innovation-led community development.
Through its diverse extension initiativesโincluding digital literacy and productivity training, cybersecurity awareness campaigns, youth capacity-building programs, IT skills workshops, and collaborative engagements with schools, cooperatives, government units, NGOs, and correctional institutionsโCCS consistently demonstrates how computing can serve as a tool for meaningful social transformation. These projects not only address pressing digital challenges but also strengthen community resilience through accessible, inclusive, and skill-oriented interventions.
The recognition also reflects the collective dedication of CCS faculty members, extension project leaders, staff, student volunteers, and partner organizations who work tirelessly to promote a culture of service and innovation. Their efforts ensure that CCS remains at the forefront of initiatives that uplift lives, reduce digital divides, and empower communities through knowledge, training, and technology-supported solutions.
